1974 Volkswagen Kombi Windowless Van – Weekend Camper

A fantastic looking weekend camper Kombi – ready for you to cruise away into the sunset on your next holiday!

The second generation (T2) Volkswagen Kombi, introduced in late 1967 was affectionally named Breadloaf and Bay-window, or Loaf and Bay for short. It lost the split screen windows however gained features over the previous model such as a 12 volt electrical system and a revised rear suspension system that did away with the beetle based swing axle rear suspension and replaced it with half shafts and constant velocity joints to raise the ride height, in turn improving the handling and ride comfort.

This Kombi van has been converted to a very nice ‘weekend camper’ modification with a spacious double bed and plenty of storage room for provisions for a few days away by the beach. The pure white vinyl with contrasting blue accents and wood effect floor makes for a great relaxing beachy vibe.

Mechanically she has had a fresh engine rebuild within the last year including a new carburettor now delivering plenty of power to sustain highway speeds with ease. Other features include front disk brakes - upgraded for the 1974 models and later.

This wonderful Kombi comes with RWC and registration until 17/07/2019. Is also registered as a 3 seater. This is a fantastic weekend camper that attracts admiration from onlookers wherever she goes. Don’t miss out!!
