This extremely low documented mileage museum piece is ready for your collection! The only Volare sedan known to be in Australia.

Introduced in the fall of 1975 and badged as 1976 models, the related Dodge Aspen and Plymouth Volare were the replacement for the A bodied compact Dodge Dart and Plymouth/Valiant Duster. Volare in Spanish stood for “I will fly away” and it most certainly did, flying from the show room floor and right into the hearts of Motor Trend magazine naming the Volare “Car of the Year” in 1976. Body styles ranged from four door Sedan and Wagons to the two-door coupe with engine ranging from a bullet proof 225ci slant 6 to a 360ci V8 with automatic and manual options available. Improvements over previous models included more aerodynamic lightened and strengthened bodies for better fuel consumption, better panel fitment due to fewer welds & stampings and better window visibility with 33% more glass in sedans. The Volare and Aspen were often praised for their ‘big car comfort and ride’ and sold in good numbers throughout the model’s life.

This rare gem is the Plymouth Volare sedan with the 225ci 2-barrel super slant 6 making a healthy amount of power mated to a column mounted 3 speed automatic transmission. Highly unusual for this type of car is the extremely low millage it has covered over the past 42 years from new with just 15,000 miles. Bought new in Newmark Ohio USA it went through several ownerships within the same family until it was bought by the Royce Bellini Motor museum, Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA, where it spent 5 years there. Subsequently it was imported into Australia in April 2013 with only 6,600 miles on the odo in complete original condition later sold to the current owner with 13,000 miles. Having covered a mere 15,000 miles now, the Plymouth is in excellent original condition. The original interior presents extremely well with no wear or cracks on the upholstery while the exterior paint, having never been repainted, still holds its shine. Under the bonnet shows all the original factory stickers with the slant 6 taking price of place in its original colour.

Recent work carried out by the current owner includes, new front brake callipers & rear cylinders, all flexible brake lines replaced, master cylinder and booster replaced, new front shocks, aftermarket mag wheels (originals to be sold with the car), re-cored & cleaned radiator, new starter motor (original kept as spare) and automatic gearbox serviced and adjusted. A new vinyl roof was fitted over the existing painted roof giving the car a more expensive feel.

Not often does such a low millage vehicle come up for sale and in such original condition.

The Plymouth comes with RWC and balance of registration.
