1993 Maserati 430 Bi-Turbo Sedan.
A great relatively easy project with some money-making potential in the process!!
The Maserati Biturbo was introduced in 1981 as a 2+2 coupe with much more squared off styling in comparison to its predecessors. As its name suggests, the Biturbo was a twin turbo V6 which was the first production car to use a twin turbo engine. It was also the first production car to use 3 valves per cylinder.
This Maserati 430 is an Australian delivered model in dark metallic green with grey leather/alcantara interior with the 18valve 2.8 litre twin turbo V6 mated to a 4 speed automatic gearbox.
The overall condition of the car is ok for its age being all original from what can be seen. The exterior has a few small dents which can be easily removed most notably one dent on the rear passenger wheel arch and two on the bonnet. The paint and clear coat on the body shows a deep shine. No rust evident!
The interior is completely original with the seats generally in good condition. The drivers leather seat bolster has age cracks but is recoverable although the upper backrest does need attention. The alcantara roof lining and carpets are in very good condition.
The engine pulls extremely well when the twin turbo’s reach boost with an audible rush of air under the bonnet as the engine sucks in the road ahead - fine tuning at idle speed would need to be addressed. The automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and operates in all 1,2,3,D,R selections. Unusually for a vehicle of this type, nearly all of the electricals work (touch wood). Some small mechanical items will need to be addressed before registration.
This rare Maserati is an ideal project with relatively little work to get road registered with enough room for a tidy profit at the end. Get a piece of that Maserati motoring experience for yourself now and save!
